After School Room.

Our after school's room is an intimate room where children arrive form a busy school day to relax in a homely environment and be given a chance to complete their homework. We encourage our afterschool staff to allow children to wind down after a long and hard day at school. This is achieved through a routine which allows for plenty of quite time and one on one staff to child time. Staff are dedicated and enthusiastic when caring for children of this age, as well as having a light and bright room which makes for happy and settled children. A daily routine of play, fun and homework mixed in with craft and quite time is achieved through age appropriate toys and activities as well as outdoor fun time and trips to parks and library. School children are given a sense of responsibility when keeping track of their own belongings and toilet and hygiene routines. Our staff encourage independence and growth of self esteem when caring for school age children, yet still allowing for homely comforts such as movie Friday or pamper days.
